Surry County Sheriff reports

DOBSON — Several thousands of dollars worth of property was stolen during a Nov. 18 break-in on White Pines Country Club Road, according to reports from the Surry County Sheriff’s Office.

Three alleged victims of the incident were listed as Sharon Barr, Jonathan Rippy and Jennifer Bowman.

Stolen property included an unknown quantity of jewelry, which was valued at $3,000, two flat-screen televisions worth $2,000, an $80 Blu-ray DVD player, several videos totaling $200, and a Sega video game console, which was valued at $80.

The suspect or suspects entered the residence through a basement door window, causing $300 of damage.

• Jerry Coe, of Hemmingway Lane, Thurmond, reported a tractor implement stolen on Nov. 24. The two-row garden turn plow was valued at $500.

• A N.C. license plate and black metal utility trailer gate were reported stolen Nov. 18 by Ronald Hall, of Sportsman Trail, Mount Airy. The total value of the stolen items was listed as $694. The theft was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

• Several household items were stolen during a break-in reported at a Webb Lane residence on Nov. 23. The victim, Crystal Wright, reported 12 boxes of shotgun shells stolen along with several DVDs, canned food, paper towel rolls, toilet paper and bed pillows. The total value of the stolen items was listed as $135.

• A White Ford F250 truck belonging to L&H Enterprises on West Pine Street, Lowgap, was reported stolen Nov. 23 by Robert Hice, the vice president of the company. The truck’s value was listed as $8,000, and the theft was entered into NCIC.

• A service trailer belonging to Howard Hull, of Hull Brothers Lumber Co., was reported on Nov. 23. The incident occurred on the business’s location on Maple Hollow Road, according to the report. The trailer and items it contained valued about $8,000. They included a welder and torches, an air compressor and miscellaneous tools.

• On Nov. 23, Helen Resendiz reported a break-in at her residence on Bill Drive in Mount Airy. Stolen items included a television and DVD player worth about $900. The exterior lock of the home was also damaged.

• Dick Ramey, of Ramey Creek Road, Lowgap, reported on Nov. 23 the theft of a white-handled automatic pistol, valued at $100, and two watches valued at $50.
