• A vehicle was discovered stolen Saturday from a residence on Carolina Court, according to Mount Airy Police Department reports. The green 1998 Honda Civic, which police records indicate has hood damage, is valued at $3,000 and owned by Travis Ray Creed, from whose home it was taken by an unknown suspect.

• Police were told Sunday that property with a total value of $870 had been stolen earlier this month from a secured Ford F-350 truck while it was in the Lowe’s hardware parking lot on South Andy Griffith Parkway. Included were an Optima battery and three other batteries, a Sony radio, an 8-foot ladder and two sockets. The victims are listed as two Dobson residents, Harlan Ned Pike of Brindle Road and Luis De La Marsh of Stony Knoll Road.

• Dustin Gray Goad, 27, of 188 Cherokee Trail, was jailed under a $62,000 secured bond after he was arrested as a fugitive from justice from Grayson County, Virginia, and on local charges Thursday, which stemmed from police investigating a suspicious vehicle in the Forrest Oaks Shopping Center parking lot. The Grayson County matter was not specified, but Goad was charged Thursday by city police with resisting a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He also was served with outstanding warrants for charges that had been issued by Surry County authorities, including felonious breaking and entering and felony larceny filed on March 17, and injury to personal property, in September 2015. Goad is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Jan. 23.

• Larry Dwayne Bouldin, 46, of 338 Durham St., was cited for second-degree trespassing Thursday after being found in a bathroom at Hampton Inn on Rockford Street. Bouldin, who previously had been banned from hotel property, is to be in District Court on Jan. 23.

• Four tires valued at $190 were discovered missing on Dec. 10 from the bed of a truck owned by victim Cheryl Lynn Crouse of Lakeview Drive. The theft occurred while the vehicle was parked at Insteel Industries on Carter Street.
