The Fourth Annual Veterans Pow Wow is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Veterans Park, featuring Native American dance, drums, and crafts.
The event is a fundraiser to meet the needs of local veterans, according to organizers of the event.
The gathering, which is open to the public, includes the Red Horse Drum, Anquoe Terrell as master of ceremonies, as well as head male dancer Carlos Martin and head female dancer Barbara hill. There will be special performances by Aztec Dancers, and Duane Deemer is scheduled as a guest participant.
‘This event is to support veterans in need,” organizers said. “Donations are accepted and go directly to supply food and services for our beterans and their families in need.”
Gates open at 10 a.m. each day, with no designated cut-off time. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children age 7 to 12 and those age 65 and older. Veterans and children younger than 4 are admitted free.
