DOBSON — Surry County Extension gathered recently together and celebrated Extension volunteers and how they are making what organizers call “a world of difference” in the community.
Surry Community College hosted the event in the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture & Enology.
Volunteers participated in the True Colors personality workshop where they learned about how personalities shape the way people relate and communicate with others.
More than 200 volunteers gave in excess of 18,000 hours of their time in 2016. An evening of good food, fellowship, and fun was had by all.
