Mary Ellen Midkiff marks 90 years

Mary Ellen Midkiff recently celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends at Westfield Baptist Church.

Construction of the church was completed in 1927, the year that Mary Ellen was born and she was carried there as an infant. She made many good friends and fond memories in church through the years, serving as Vacation Bible School director, Sunday School superintendent and teacher, WMY president and Girls Auxiliary director and enjoyed reminiscing about those days with the many guests who came to celebrate with her.

Blue hydrangeas were used to decorate the fellowship hall and each table featured a different theme, depicting some of Mary Ellen’s favorite things, including her family, church work and volunteerism.
