Nurse practitioner joins Northern Pediatrics.

Cashe Emory, Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, has joined the healthcare team of Northern Pediatrics.

Starting this week, Emory will add her specialized nursing expertise to that of the practice’s five physicians – including Drs. Mae Daniels, Lauren Youell, Elaine Porter, Joyce Saliba and Jordan Minor.

Emory is a 2011 graduate of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she earned her Masters in Nursing for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Five years earlier, she received her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

Prior to joining Northern Pediatrics, Emory worked as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Children’s National Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland and Quincy Medical Group in Quincy, Illinois. Before earning her certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neurology Unit of Johns Hopkins Hospital.

“I am enthusiastic to be part of Northern Pediatrics,” said Emory. “Children are a passion of mine, and I look forward to caring for the children in this community.” Emory and her family reside in Mount Airy.

Northern Pediatrics a pediatrics clinic located at 100 North Pointe Boulevard, just off of Highway 52 in Mount Airy. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The practice is open for sick appointments only on Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For appointments call 336-789-6267.
