After providing drivers for then-candidate Donald Trump’s visits to central North Carolina during the 2016 presidential campaign, A.J. Daoud, former NC GOP 6th District Chairman and former Lottery Commissioner, was called upon to provide the same service for President Donald Trump’s first visit to North Carolina since winning the election.

Daoud stated that he had arranged for Secret Service-cleared drivers to drive some of the cars for staff and press which followed the candidate during the campaign and was honored to be asked to do so again.

Angie Thomas Daoud, past chairman of Surry GOP, drove members of the Associated Press, and Tobias Gerber, chief of staff of Cox-Needham Funeral Home, drove Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-5th District) and Rep. Richard Hudson (R-8th district), who had accompanied the President on Air Force One as he traveled to Greensboro for a private fundraising dinner.
