The following reports were filed by the Pilot Mountain Police Department in recent weeks:
• A Department of Motor Vehicles report filed on Dec. 4 reports a single-vehicle collision by Paul Vetor Collins Jr., Walnut Cove, driving a 1999 Chevrolet owned by Jarrold Samuel Miller, Pinnacle.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 4 charging Paul Vester Collins, Jr. Walnut Cove, with failing to report an accident.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 4 charging Jerrold Samuel Miller with driving without financial responsibility as required by G.S. 20-313 and registration violation of G.S. 20-111.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 15 charging Ethan Kenneth Crouse, Cana, VA, with driving while driver’s license was revoked.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 16 charging Joshua Allen Settle, Mount Airy, with driving while driver’s license was revoked and displaying n expired registration plate.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 17 charging Jason Lee Chandler, Mount Airy, with driving without financial responsibility as required by G.S. 20-313.
• Vernon Edwards, Moncks Corner, SC, was arrested on Dec. 18 on three outstanding warrants alleging armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possessing stolen property. Edwards was remanded to Surry County Detention under a $200,00 secured bond.
• A collision report was issued on Dec. 19 reporting a collision between Chainey Moultrey, Pinnacle, driving a 2017 Nissan, and Melissa Lewis, Pinnacle, driving a 2005 Mitsubishi.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 19 charging Chainey Nethier Moultrey, Pinnacle, with failure to report an accident.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 19 charging Laurie Lynn Kocan, Rockingham, with driving without financial responsibility as required by G.S. 20-313.
• A Motor Vehicle Collision Report dated Dec. 19 reports a collision between Douglas Moore, Pinnacle, driving a 1989 Ford owned by Daniel Moore, III, Pilot Mountain, and Sherry Utt Keck, Lowgap, driving a 2014 Ford owned by Ralph Anthony Thompson, Lowgap.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 19 alleging shoplifting by putting items in pocket of a hoodie and leaving a store on Hwy. 52 Bypass. Value of property alleged to be shoplifted was 69 cents for a Duchess pecan pie and $2.59 for a Jova Monster Moca Loca.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 20 charging Esker Ray Conran Jr., with entering an intersection while a traffic signal was emitting a steady red light.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 20 charging Donald Tyrell France, Westfield, with not having a current inspection certification, and having an expired registration plate.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 20 charging Alfonso Ocampo, Mount Airy, with consuming an alcoholic beverage in the passenger area of a vehicle. Another citation charged Ocampo with driving while driver’s license was revoked and while subject to an impairing substance. Ocampo was arrested on one count of DWI and one non-DWI traffic offense.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 21 alleging injury to personal property and damage to personal property. Damage to a 1998 GMC Sonoma was estimated at $500.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 22 alleging larceny by cutting a catalytic converter off of a box truck in a parking lot on W. Main St. The catalytic converter was valued at $300.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 22 charging Michael Isaiah Nunn with operating a motor vehicle without being licensed as a driver.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 23 alleging trespassing by refusing to leave a motel room and not paying. Econo Lodge is cited as the victim.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 23 alleging assault on a female in the victim’s home.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 24 alleging assault on a female and injury to personal property at the home of the victim.
• A Motor Vehicle Collision Report dated Dec. 29 reports a collision with a deer by Randall Anthony Lawson, King, driving a 2003 Toyota owned by Pamela Sheppard Lawson. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 29 charging Nicollette Lynn Wichlow, Mount Airy, with driving a motor vehicle while driver’s license was revoked, and another citation was issued for driving with a revoked tag and driving without financial responsibility as required by G.S. 20-313.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 30 charging Andrew Jay Reese, Pilot Mountain, charging him with driving a motor vehicle without being licensed as a driver.
• An incident/investigation report was filed on Dec. 31 alleging damage to property by damaging the front of a car wash on South Key Street. Damage cited on the report was yellow trim on front of building, valued at $3,000.
• A citation was issued on Dec. 29 charging Whitney Noel Overby, King, with possessing an open container of alcoholic beverage in the passenger area of a vehicle.
• A Motor Vehicle Collision Report dated Dec. 29 reports a single- vehicle collision by David Ian Moss, Mount Airy, driving a 2003 Nissan owned by Neil Moss.
