• An attempt to steal a tablet computer Wednesday at Rite Aid on East Lebanon Street led to the property being damaged, according to Mount Airy Police Department reports. An unknown suspect was involved in the crime, which caused $150 in damage to the Craig 9-inch touch-screen unit.
• A case involving larceny and injury to personal property was reported Thursday by an employee of Bray’s Recapping Service Inc. on North South Street, where battery cables were cut and three AC Delco batteries stolen from an International 4000 Series truck. The batteries are valued at nearly $400, with the cable damage put at $100.
• Property damage was discovered Wednesday at a residence on Grove Lane owned by Lillian A. Holder of Bartowe Trail, involving a glass window of a storm door being broken by unknown means. The damage was estimated at $100.
• Town and Country Realty on West Lebanon Street was the scene of a theft discovered on Nov. 24, which involved a Holsclaw trailer with wooden side rails and tools including a large socket set and large adjustable wrench being taken from a secured storage building. The loss totaled $1,800.
