DOBSON — The Surry County Schools Board of Education is holding a special session today to discuss testing, accountability and data.
While typical board meetings are open to the public, the board is calling this a “mini-retreat” so that the members can discuss school results privately. No agenda materials are listed on the Surry County Schools website.
Unlike some retreats that take place off-site to reduce distractions, the school board will hold this meeting at 7:30 a.m. in the administrative office boardroom here on Crutchfield Street.
The board will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting on Jan. 4.
